Building on the foundation laid in the Lower and Middle Schools, the Upper School curriculum continues to emphasize student-centered, experiential, and collaborative learning. Teachers employ strategies that encourage students to make discoveries and allow the time to make these discoveries meaningful. Collaboration rather than competition is part of dynamic learning environment in classes and school club activities.
Various AP courses are available for students who meet the prerequisites, and some credit-courses provide great opportunities for students to develop focused academic interests. Students are encouraged to deepen their extracurricular interests as well to aid their college applications. Capable students also have the opportunity to access Tsinghua University and Huawei platforms unique to Tsinglan School. In the Upper School, our curriculum focuses on preparing students for competitive colleges and universities in the United States, Canada, UK, and other English-speaking countries.
